1. Who controls your data

GCC Signal is a trading name operated by Dane Lawrence, an individual based in the United Arab Emirates. Dane Lawrence is the data controller for personal data collected through gccsignal.com.

2. Information collected when you browse

When you visit gccsignal.com, our hosting provider automatically records technical data needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. This may include:

• IP address
• date and time of the request
• pages and resources requested
• referring URL, where available
• browser, device, and operating-system information
• security and error logs

We do not use this hosting data to build a marketing profile or to identify you by name unless it is needed to investigate abuse or a security incident.

We also use PostHog product analytics to understand how the site is used and to find errors. PostHog sets a cookie and records the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, whether a demo request was sent, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser and device, and any errors the site hits. If you sign in as an invited user, we link this activity to your account, including your name and email address.

3. Information collected when you contact us or request a demo

If you use the contact or demo form, we collect the information you submit. This usually includes your work email and may include your name, company, role, and any message you write.

We do not sell this information. We do not use the form to open a product account or to add you to marketing broadcasts.

4. How and why we use it

We use personal data from this site to:

• host, operate, and secure gccsignal.com
• measure how the site is used and fix errors
• respond to enquiries and demo requests
• decide whether a walkthrough or invitation is appropriate
• keep ordinary business records of our correspondence
• comply with law and defend legal claims

Our lawful bases under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 include your consent when you submit a form, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website and handling commercial enquiries, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

5. Service providers and international transfers

We use service providers that process personal data on our behalf. They may store or process data outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the United States and the European Economic Area.

• Vercel hosts the website and processes technical request data, including IP addresses and server logs.
• Resend delivers demo and contact messages from our sending address and stores contact details needed to handle those messages.
• PostHog provides product analytics and error tracking, and stores the usage data described in section 2 in the United States.
• Hostinger provides human mailboxes used to receive and reply to correspondence, including hello@gccsignal.com.

We choose providers that apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Where data leaves the UAE, we rely on contractual protections with our processors, including data processing terms and, where available, standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards recognised for cross-border transfers. You may ask us for more information about the safeguards that apply to a specific provider.

6. Retention

• Hosting and security logs: kept for up to 30 days unless a longer period is needed to investigate abuse, outages, or security incidents.
• Analytics data: kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Demo and contact requests: kept for up to 24 months from the date of your last message with us, or until the enquiry is closed and no longer needed for an active commercial discussion, whichever is sooner.
• Email correspondence: kept for as long as needed for ordinary business records, dispute handling, and legal compliance, then deleted or archived.

We may keep information for longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

7. Cookies

gccsignal.com uses a first-party analytics cookie from PostHog to recognise repeat visits and measure how the site is used, as described in section 2. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies, and we do not embed booking widgets, videos, or similar third-party tools that set their own marketing cookies.

Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies required to deliver the site, balance traffic, and protect against abuse. These are not used for profiling.

If you follow a link to app.gccsignal.com, that host may set authentication cookies required for invited users to sign in. Those cookies are governed by the privacy notice for the console, not this page.

8. Your rights and complaints

Under UAE data protection law, you may have the right to:

• ask whether we hold personal data about you
• request access to that data
• request correction of inaccurate data
• request deletion in the circumstances provided by law
• request restriction of processing or object to certain processing
• request a copy of personal data you provided, in a portable format where technically feasible and where the law allows

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office through the official government channels at u.ae.
